EMPTY EQUIPMENT RETURN AFTER IMPORT

In the view of continuous equipment deficit and in order to increase containers’ turnover and to supply equipment for export bookings,CMA CGM introduces the return of empty containers (20ST; 40ST; 40HC) from import, not involved in export bookings under RE-USE term, to the below CMA CGM depots at following addresses:

We remind you that according to the Forwarding agreement, the Forwarder must use the container equipment released to him by the Agent during the entire stay of the container equipment under the Forwarder’s control (until its return under the Agent's control) exclusively for its intended purpose, namely for transportation of:

• cargoes under CMA CGM or APL Bill of Lading carried to the Consignee in "import" mode;

or

• cargoes carried to the port of loading ("export" mode) for further sea transportation by CMA CGM or APL carriers according to the Shipper’s instructions and subject to the placement of appropriate export booking with the Agent.


The Freight Forwarder is prohibited from using container equipment for any other purpose, in particular (but not limited to the following) to use container equipment for transportation, storage, handling, loading and unloading of any cargo, property, materials, etc. that are not shipped under Carrier’s Bill of Lading (CMA CGM, APL). In case of violation, the Forwarder must pay the Agent a fine in amount of USD 500 in the national currency of Ukraine at the rate of the NBU on the date of invoicing by the Agent.
