Regulation in Senegal: Container Tracking Note (CTN/BESC)
CMA CGM informs its customers that, effectiveMarch 1st, 2019, the Container Tracking Note (CTN or BESC in French) is mandatory for all shipments bound to Senegal and under Shippers’ responsibility.
Each container must be covered by a CTN/BESC numbercommunicated in the shipping instructions. It is mandatory to have said information mentioned on the Bill of Lading and Cargo Manifest.
The CTN/BESC must be obtained by shipperson the dedicated website by COSEC (Conseil Sénégalais des Chargeurs):www.besc-senegal.net
CTN/BESC not available or number not valid on Bill of Lading and Cargo Manifest will be subject topenalties and relevant additional charges at Shippers' debit and responsibility
